Deep
South Awards Application PDF
Recognize and validate individual and club achievement by applying for
awards. Get the current application form for NGC from your
District Awards Chairman. Deep South Awards can be found on the
web (see above). All applications and supporting evidence must be
sent to FFGC Headquarters by December 1 for judging (unless otherwise
stated in the awards description). There are no crossover awards
except for the Publicity Press Book Award and Garden Club of the
Year. See those awards for complete descriptions.
Prepare separate Books of Evidence for FFGC, Deep South and National
Awards. FFGC permits copies of pages used in other Books of
Evidence, so make the greatest use of the pages that you prepare by
making copies and applying for multiple awards. Be sure to follow
the guidelines for each submission.
Forms can be downloaded from National
or this chairman can e-mail
awards applications upon request. This chairman will also send
snail mail if you don't have access to the Internet.

General Information
National Garden Clubs, Inc.,
Deep South, and Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. Awards are
available for individuals, circles, clubs, groups of clubs and
districts. They cover various types of programs, projects, and
activities. Applications may be made for different awards
on the same subject; check out similar awards given by NGC, Deep South,
and FFGC. Awards recognize membership achievement and reflect
awareness of the goals and objectives of the Florida Federation of
Garden Clubs, Inc., the Deep South Region, and National Garden Clubs,
Inc.
All inquiries regarding awards should be directed to the appropriate
District Awards Chairman, who will issue application forms and assist
in any way possible. The District Awards Chairman is the liaison
between the club chairman and the FFGC Chairman or the NGC/Deep South
Chairman in regards to the awards program.
If your club does not have an awards chairman, appoint one. BE A
WINNER by getting involved and applying for awards. Look at your
current projects and find a category in the awards section that your
projects would fit into.
Read and study the specific information pertaining to rules and
preparation of Books of Evidence (BOE) which precedes each grouping of
awards available from NGC, Deep South and FFGC. DATES ARE
IMPORTANT! Refer to the CALENDAR FOR AWARDS for deadline dates
and mailing information. Submit materials to the designated
chairman on or before the deadline date.
