To qualify for the scholarships listed below, the applicant must:
•    be a resident of Florida.
•    be citizen of the United States of America.
•    have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
•    Study agriculture, biology, botany, city planning, conservation, ecology, forestry, horticulture, landscape design/architecture, or related fields.

National Garden Club Scholarships (up to $3500) (www.gardenclub.org)

  • Available to junior, senior, or graduate student (not doctoral student)
  • Awarded to a Florida student attending any accredited college or university within the United States.
  • Two applications accepted from Florida. About 35 awarded yearly throughout the United States.
  • Deadline: March 1

Deep South Region Scholarships ($2000) (www.dsregion.org)

  • Available to a Florida student (graduating high school senior entering college), sophomore, junior, or senior attending a college in the Deep South (Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana)
  • One awarded yearly to a student residing in a Deep South state.
  • Deadline: February 1

FFGC Scholarships ($1000 to $3500) (www.ffgc.org)

  • Available to seniors entering college and for all levels of college course work
  • Must attend a Florida college/university
  • Several may be awarded.
  • Deadline: May 1
