Making Door Wreath !

Materials:

           1.  Oasis ring (can be purchased from a florist or craft store)   The ring has built-in foam for soaking - plant materials are placed directly into the  foam ring,
and will last for one to two weeks or more.  The ring may be misted,  and can also be taken down and placed in the bath tub for a good soak.
           2.  3 stems chrysanthemums, shown here are the "Vyking" variety - cut the stems short for insertion into the ring
           3.  2 stems asters, cut into sprigs
           4.  5 - 7 stems leatherleaf fern
           5.  3 stems plumosa fern

Directions:

            1.  After the ring is completely soaked, lay it on top of plastic sheeting or table cloth, and begin to "green" up the wreath with the leatherleaf, and then                    add the plumosa for softness. Just insert at random, creating a fluffy look, and be sure to completely  cover the foam, so that the mechanics do not                          show.  Do not neglect the inner edge and the outer edge of the ring.

            2.  Next, cluster the flower sprigs into groups as shown. The wreath can be used FLAT on a tabletop, using a grouping of candles or a glass hurricane                   globe.

            3.    By using a larger version of the ring, the wreath could be used around a punch bowl for a party.

            4.    A festive and pretty accent for a door or party that's easy to create and lots of fun to display to show off your talents.
