    This self-guided driving tour showcases spectacular gardens surrounding breathtaking homes and hidden treasures inside walled gardens. You will stroll through a garden paradise created on a sprawling estate with an expansive view of the Intracoastal Waterway. Unwind in the serenity of a spacious contemporary Balinese style garden replete with guardian statues to keep out evil spirits. Delight in the fanciful whimsy of multiple mini-gardens on a two-home estate created over decades by two talented artists inspired by their love of nature. Be sure to visit the Flower Garden to enjoy some light refreshments and explore the flowering plants, books and gardening tools offered by the Garden Shoppe and other selected  nurseries and garden suppliers. 

    These gardens and homes are privately owned, not open for public viewing except for this exclusive fundraising event to benefit the aims, goals and special projects sponsored by Fort Lauderdale Garden Club, Inc.

    Fort Lauderdale Garden Club, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

    During this two day course, experts from the University of Florida and Gainesville will discuss various environmental and horticultural topics, including new varieties of coleus, basils and hot peppers, wildflower seed balls, the effect of Climate Change on Gardening, Landscaping for the Birds, Weeds and Invasive Exotics, Seed Saving, Wetlands and Shore plants and more. Tours include the Citra Plant Science Research Unit and the UF Wilmont Gardens (busses provided). This is also an NGC Multi-Refresher for Environmental, Landscape and Garden Consultants.

    Registration begins June 12th at 5:30pm at the Springhill Suites Marriott, 4155 SW 50th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32605 and information will be provided at that time. Bring walking shoes and a hat to protect from the sun.
