Trees are very important to our environment.They supply the oxygen we breathe,
stabilization of the soil, prevent erosion, shelter wildlife,
conservation of energy by providing shade, filtering air and adding
beauty to our cities.
Trees also provide beautiful colors and they are
invaluable to absorb a high percentage of carbon dioxide.They affect areas economically, provide lumber for
our homes, our furniture and paper products.
Clubs should record and report the planting of all
trees so as to receive credit for an award.Awards
may be earned by entering and sending a Book of Evidence (BOE) to this
Chairman at the end of the year.Take
pictures and record all the trees you plant.Get
your community involved in planting Honor and Memorial Trees.When a tree is planted, have a ceremony for
the family.This is a very successful way
of getting trees planted.
