AWARDS, DESCRIPTIONS & RULES

The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. recognizes the achievement of an individual, a club/circle or district which further the goals and objectives of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc., the Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc. Giving awards is a way to celebrate excellence and achievement among garden clubs and individual members.  Awards give us an opportunity to:

  • give well-deserved recognition to members, clubs, and districts for their hard work and dedication
  • highlights the talents and creativity that is held among the members
  • contributes towards a group's cohesion and pride.
  • give your club credibility and visibility in the community
  • attracts new members that bring fresh ideas and talent, all of which serves to strengthen your club in the community.

FFGC AWARDS INFORMATION

It's advisable to read the supporting documents before completing the single page application.  The Awards Handbook will explain in detail (1) what to include and what can be attached to your application; (2) to whom to email, and in some cases, mail, your application and including images (jpegs) if applicable; and (3) the deadline.

SEE FLOWER SHOW RELATED AND FLOWER SHOW ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS FORMS.

The NEW Awards Handbook is now the single-source handbook for all things awards. It has the descriptions, rules and procedures for every single award from FFGC #1-81 through all Flower Show Achievement, Flower Show Related, Youth, Junior Gardening, Contests, and High School. It is a work in progress but we're inches away.  This handbook clarifies category, class and section. If you have already filed your award, please do not worry! The awards team will handle any minor things that occurred due to the new handbook.   Please let the FFGC Awards Chair, Sandra Arnold, know if you find any errors. Her awards email is FLAwards2024@gmail.com.
If your application form is prepared in Apple using Pages, please convert to PDF before submitting it. That can be found under File/Export to.
