Drive through Mandarin on State Road 13 – the William Bartram Scenic & Historic Highway (17 mi.) passing three Bartram Trail Historic Markers and six Bartram Trail in Florida sites. Videos of the Bartram Trail in Florida and William Bartram’s legacy will be viewed while enroute.

• 10:30 – 10:45 AM:

• Arrive in Palatka and visit the Rollestown Bartram Site w/ Deep South GC Historic Bartram Trail Marker

• 11:00 - 11:45 AM: 

• Visit Palatka Water Works Environmental Education Center for short walk through the community gardens and the Puc Puggy nature trail (200 yds.). View live gopher tortoise habitat interpreted by local expert.

• 12:00 Noon – 1:30 PM

• Lunch in pavilion at Ravine Gardens State Park – Prepacked fresh box lunches based on individual orders. Visit the Garden Club of Palatka historic log cabin and Deep South GC Bartram Trail Historic marker.

• 1:30 – 2:30 PM

Visit the Palatka Riverfront Park to be entertained by Billy Bartram, Trader Job Wiggens and the Long Warrior, King of the Seminoles. View Bartram murals on the way out.

• 2:30 – 3:30 PM

• Drive to Historic St. Augustine for a drive-through of key Bartram Sites in the City

• 3:30 – 4:00 PM:

• Return to hotel.
