Basic Floral Design Study is a nine-unit series with the goal of developing an understanding of the art of flower arranging for both the home and flower shows. The Design units are taught by National Garden Club Master Judges and FFGC Floral Design Instructors. Each unit consists of a lecture and demonstration in the morning and student workshop in the afternoon when students create their own designs, receive feedback from their instructor, and share their designs with new friends. Dates of classes:Jan 5, 12, 19, 26, Feb 2, 9 16, 23 and Mar 2, 16. The last class is a make up day if an earlier class is missed.
There is ample parking, there will be signs outside to direct you to the classroom. Students must bring scissors/clipper and lunch. Morning snacks, coffee, iced tea, and water will be provided. Students will receive a kit containing basic floral supplies at the first class. Line materials, foliage and flowers are supplied for the first three classes.
